Firmographic Data
Firmographic data describes characteristics of a company, such as industry, employee count, geography, revenue band or business model. In B2B sales and marketing it is mainly used to assess fit, segment accounts and support routing or prioritisation.

Firmographic data answers βis this a good fit?β
Company size, industry or region can indicate whether an account resembles the customers a business is designed to serve. Those attributes do not indicate current buying activity, so they are usually more useful as a fit layer than as a measure of intent.
How SalesWings uses firmographic criteria
SalesWings can apply fit logic through scoring or grading in Salesforce. This lets teams keep fit visible separately from behavioural activity, so a rep can distinguish a strong ICP match from a prospect that is merely active.
Firmographic data vs behavioural data
Firmographic data describes the company. Behavioural data describes actions. Used together, they can answer two separate questions: whether the prospect is worth pursuing and whether there is evidence of current engagement.
Data quality changes over time
Company size, ownership, region and other attributes can change, while enrichment providers may disagree or lag behind. Fields that materially affect qualification or routing should therefore have clear ownership and a known source rather than being treated as permanently accurate.
See SalesWings fit scoring and lead grading for the implementation workflow, and Ideal Customer Profile for the criteria firmographic data is usually compared against.
Turn buyer behaviour into Salesforce intelligence
SalesWings helps teams capture first-party behavioural data, score leads and accounts, trigger actions, and surface revenue intelligence inside Salesforce.
