Revenue Signals
Revenue signals are observable data points that can help a revenue team decide where attention is needed. They can come from buyer behaviour, CRM changes, fit data, opportunity activity or customer engagement. The useful question is not how many signals can be collected, but which ones actually change a sales, marketing or customer-success decision.

Examples of revenue signals
Pre-sale signals might include a return visit from a known contact, multiple stakeholders becoming active, a change in lead or account score, a demo request or a new opportunity. Post-sale signals might include declining engagement, renewed product interest or activity associated with an expansion conversation.
A signal needs context before it becomes useful
A single event should not automatically drive a major decision. The same pricing-page visit, for example, can mean something different depending on who performed it, how recently the account was active, whether the company fits the ICP and what else is happening in the CRM.
Revenue signals vs buying signals
Buying signals are specifically associated with purchase interest or evaluation. Revenue signals are broader and can include data relevant to qualification, pipeline, expansion or retention. In both cases, the event is an input rather than proof of an outcome.
How SalesWings uses signals
SalesWings can turn first-party behavioural activity into scores, tags, alerts and account context inside Salesforce. This allows the same underlying signals to support different operational decisions without requiring reps to interpret a separate analytics system.
The strongest signals should be validated against real outcomes. If an activity repeatedly appears before qualified pipeline or closed-won business, it may deserve more weight; if it produces noise without changing conversion, it may deserve less.
See SalesWings Interactions for the first-party signal layer and SalesWings for sales and marketing operations for how signals feed prioritisation and workflow.
Turn buyer behaviour into Salesforce intelligence
SalesWings helps teams capture first-party behavioural data, score leads and accounts, trigger actions, and surface revenue intelligence inside Salesforce.
