Chicago tips & sights to see

Getting Around

Chicago is often ranked as one of the top cities in the US for its public transport. With its “L” train and great walkability, you don’t even need to consider renting a car. Instead, rent a bike using a service like Divvy. Having a late night out? Don’t fret — the “L” train is 24-hours.

Getting a Bite

Chicago is home to over 7,000 restaurants (23 of which are Michelin-starred), so you are bound to find some good eats. Here are our top must-eat stops:

Pizza Pick 🍕
No Chicago restaurant list is complete without pizza. Specifically, Chicago-style deep dish pizza. Our pizza pick? Pequod’s Pizza. Pequod’s has been serving pies since the 1970s — you don’t serve pies for over forty years without them being excellent.

Classic Choice 🍴
Our classic choice? Manny’s Cafeteria & Delicatessen. Manny’s has been around since 1942. With its classic deli feel and no-frills cafeteria-like setting, you know you’re in a piece of Chicago’s history. We highly recommend the Reuben.

Fancy Feast 🍸
Chicago is home to over twenty Michelin Star restaurants, so picking just one isn’t easy. Our fancy pick? Boka. Boka stands out with its unique menu, gorgeous atmosphere, and high ratings. Their whole roasted dry-aged duck is otherworldly.

Sights to See

Parks & Gardens 🌱
Whether you’re a green thumb or just love gardens, Garfield Park Conservatory is a must. One of the largest conservatories in the country — a two-acre enclosed greenhouse. The best part? It is completely free.

Entertainment 🎡
The Navy Pier is a must see for anyone visiting Chicago. With its bright lights and quick bites, the Navy Pier has a little of everything for everyone. Grab a churro from Xurro. You’ll thank us later.

Views 🔭
Want to get a great view of all of Chicago? Most people would say the Skydeck at the Willis Tower is the place to be, but because of its longer lines and slightly higher price, we recommend 360 Chicago at the John Hancock Center (now known simply as “875 North Michigan Avenue”). Really rolls off the tongue. Beat the crowds at 360 Chicago.
